Although "airplane" and "aeroplane" are two English words with the exact same meaning, in MP2 rulesets they have a different meaning.
The Airplane is a non-military aircraft that can carry diplomatic units and commerce cargo.
In MP2, the Airplane makes it problematic to document rules that refer to the general class of aeroplanes like Fighters, Dive Bombers, AWACS, Spy Planes, and so on. It would be unclear whether the specific unit type called "Airplane" is being referred to, or if "airplanes" meant every type of general winged aircraft.

- Airplane - the specific civilian unit as given by the foregoing link.
- Aeroplane - any aircraft with wings: all aeroplanes including Fighters, Dive Bombers, Bombers, AWACS, Airplanes, Spy Planes, and so on.
- Aircraft - all aeroplanes AND all helicopters, balloons, and dirigibles (Zeppelin).
- 👉🏻 Does not include missiles or satellites.
- Missiles - Unmanned ballistic weapons. Not classed as aircraft.
- Satellite - A vehicle outside the air/atmosphere. Not considered an aircraft.
