- Find the directory that contains the .sav.gz files, and delete the files. For my computer, the directory is /home/kernigh/.freeciv/saves. (The .freeciv directory is invisible, so you might need to show hidden files.) You can also rename the files; I moved save1-game7.sav.gz to game1-save7.sav.gz, so the list item changed from save1-game7 to game1-save7. --Kernigh 17:55, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
create a game, go to save as, and just click and delete one at a time.. i know its epic, you'll learn to love it =D Tylan4life tylan4life
I create a shortcut to that folder, and place it on my desktop next to my Freeciv icon. That makes purging old games pretty painless.
