Some years ago, I played freeciv on Linux. There was the nation "Mordor" with the leader "Sauron". Why isn't that available in the Windows-version?
Copyright issues. Its not available in any recent version.
You can easily modify your Freeciv to include Middle Earth nations. For example, there's a "Fantasy Nations" modpack available that will give you the Mordor nation and more. hima 06:33, February 2, 2010 (UTC)
