I have installed freeciv on a new Linux Mint install, but there is no sound in freeciv. westnoth's sound is working fine and sound is turned on the games settings. - Some distros compile Freeciv without sound support. For example, the OpenBSD package of Freeciv 2.1.4 has no sound. If I install this package, Freeciv never has any sound. I run OpenBSD, but I compile my own Freeciv from source code so that I have sound. --Kernigh 01:35, August 4, 2010 (UTC)
