Unit Classes?[]
Does anyone want to explain what is meant by "Unit Classes" at the top of the list of changes? As a newb, I believe that I have some idea what this means mechanically, but it would be nice to see a brief descriptor of what I can expect from unit interaction as a result of this change.
- It's mostly of interest to ruleset authors, I think, rather than players -- it allows definitions of an arbitrary number of different kinds of unit with common behaviour, rather than the fixed attributes in previous versions (IIRC). The NEWS section on ruleset format changes could do with more fleshing out; I've been concentrating on actual gameplay changes in the default ruleset. -- JTN 11:34, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
