Typical Hex Topology[]
- Dunnoob The typically for the hex ones was actually aiming at "brick stye" hex, which uses rectangles rather than hexagons. Agreed on isometric, though, as using anything but a lozenge looks bad. I've vaguely had an idea of making one, but there are many other things with higher priority.
–GriffonSpade(talk) 20:14, February 19, 2018 (UTC)- To get a ping-effect (=notification of a wikilinked user:GriffonSpade) you can try {{ping|GriffonSpade}} rendered as @GriffonSpade: (incl. colon).
- AFAIK both hex. topologies are based on isometric, isohex is an odd name for iso + two horizontal hex. sides, and hex is an odd name for iso + two vertical hex. sides. Is your brick a rectangle? If you remove the NW+SE corners from a rectangle, it would not match Freeciv isohex or hex., and I think it doesn't matter which two corners you remove from a rectangle, because Freeciv removes opposite corners from a rhombus (diamond). –Dunnoob 💩 12:44, March 3, 2018 (UTC)
Appear first in category?[]
How does one cause a page to appear before the letters in the category?
–GriffonSpade(talk) 04:45, February 22, 2018 (UTC)
- You can dictate a category sort order by name as in
[[category:Jane Doe|Doe, Jane]]
(sorted below Doe instead of Jane), and for an intro page use ASCII SP (space) sorted before all letters, digits, etc.:[[category:Jane Doe| ]]
, cf. Help:Category#Sort_parameters. –Dunnoob 💩 12:52, March 3, 2018 (UTC)
